Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Dubai International Marine Club, expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, for his unwavering support and remarkable contributions to fostering sports development in the emirate. He acknowledged that His Highness's leadership has inspired positive transformations by motivating the community toward achieving remarkable milestones.

Bin Meshar extended his congratulations to his fellow members of the Board of Directors at Dubai International Marine Club, the executive management, and various organizational units within the club on being awarded in Sustainability in Sports during the ninth session of the Dubai Sports Excellence Model 2023, which recognizes the club's commitment towards sustainability at work, wherein fact 79% of its organized activities consist of environmentally friendly races. This achievement further contributes to the club's illustrious records since its establishment in 1988.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors at DIMC stated that receiving this recognition in the ninth session of the Dubai Sports Excellence Model 2023 serves as a new source of motivation for the board of directors, executive management, and organizational units within the club. It inspires them to exert more effort and create greater opportunities for creativity and excellence. This is part of the club's continuous efforts to advance the concept of teamwork in achieving the goals outlined in its strategic plan for the year 2021-2027.

During his speech, Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar also congratulated His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airlines Group, for being honored as one of the esteemed pioneers of sports clubs who have made significant and influential contributions to the sports industry in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. His Highness played a vital role in advancing the sports movement in the emirate, particularly in marine sports. He previously assumed the presidency of the Dubai International Marine Club in 2003 following a decree by the Ruler of Dubai, leading the club to numerous achievements.

He expressed his appreciation for the role and approach of the Dubai Sports Council in evaluating the work of sports clubs in the emirate and motivating them to strive for excellence through constructive plans and programs. The Dubai Sports Council aims to develop the administrative and technical aspects of football clubs and companies, as well as inspire boards of directors in sports clubs to excel in their work, innovate, and launch initiatives for the society, particularly for athletes.
