Dubai will witness today in the Water Canal the sports heritage event that brings together 500 people on board on more than 40 boats competing for the title of the Dubai Traditional Rowing Race (Heat 2)
The great race today is organized by Dubai International Marine Club within the marine sports season 2019-2020 in conjunction with the Dubai Fitness Challenge and the participation of the GCC Countries among them are the boats from Sultanate of Oman and Kingdom of Bahrain
The race will take place at the Dubai Water Canal in Al Jaddaf, opposite the Dubai Wildlife Sanctuary opposite to the Swiss International School with a race distance of 2.7 km which will be divided into two halves represented by two color flag .
The Dubai Traditional Rowing Race (30ft) today is important particularly to the racers and boat owners involved in the race today which will determine the top 25 boats to participate in the most expensive Al Maktoum Cup 2019 on the 2nd of November which is currently is on 23rd version. The race was founded by the club in 1998 wherein the event will take place two weeks specifically every Friday.
Hezaim Al Gemzi , the Director of Sports Department at DIMC remind all the participants and owner to commit in the race time table and complete all the necessary requirements and procedure for participation in order to obtain the success of the event.
He said that the event today will start at early morning for the Technical Inspection followed by the Race Meeting to explain further the race instruction and to have the draw which will determine who will be in the first and second half and at around 3:00 PM the race will start.

Partcipating in the race today are the boat from the Kingdom of Bahrain the Khalidiya 54 onwed by Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who won the first half in the first round last month and the boat Victorious 53 owned Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who won the second place in the second half last round.

Dubai Championship title holder of the last season 2018-2019 the boat Oman 44 of the Ministry of Sports Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman seeks the first place and continued excellence in Dubai Championship rounds since his first appearance last season where he had been the first candidate in each half.

Today final result will determine the boat qualify for the Al Maktoum Cup which is scheduled to be on the 22nd of November , Friday.

As per the first round result of the Dubai Traditional Rowing Race which was held in the same place last month the winner are the boats from Bahrain "Khalidiya 54" in the first - half and the Omani boat Oman 44 first place in the second half.
