The procedures of participating in the 29th Al Gaffal Race, which is held under the support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, will start today as the race is set to be held on Friday. 

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, sponsor of the event, has increase the current race awards to 12 million AED, in recognition of the increasing demand from owners and to make the race a big success.Which reflects the past of their parents and grand parents when returning home after the season of pearl diving and their journey in the Arabian Gulf .
