165,000 Dirhams prize for the winners of the Dubai Fishing Competition

The First Round of the Dubai Fishing Competition 2022 will kick off today, a 3 days event organized by Dubai International Marine Club under the marine sports season 2021-2022. 

The organization of these events comes as an initiative from the club Board of Directors to provide opportunities for all the members of society to practice the fishing activities in accordance with rules and regulation in Fishing. The club expects that this event will bring together the fishing enthusiast in the countries from various nationalities to compete for the title and prizes.

The club announced an allocation of 165,000 Dirhams as a total prize money for all the winners of the first round which will be divided into two categories the Kingfish and Cobia. The first 10 winners of the Kingfish category will receive a total of 135,000 Dirhams while the top 3 winners of the Cobia category will receive a total of 35,000 Dirhams.

Last Monday, DIMC announced the opening of the registration thru the club’s website and headquarters to pay for the fees and receive their sticker numbers representing their participation.

The club reminded all the participants to follow the rules and regulation specifically on ways to catch the fish and to provide a proper documentation. The result will be calculated based on the weight  and length of the fish.

The handover of the catch fish will be at the P&O Marinas in  Fishermen's Harbor 3, Umm Sequim 2 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM  on Wednesday  till Friday while on Saturday it will be from 11:00 -2:00 PM prior to the awarding ceremony at 5:00 PM.

Dubai International Marine Club is organizing two rounds of the Dubai Fishing Competition this season In which the first round will start today until Saturday while the second round will take place on 9-13 of March 2022.
