29th Al Gaffal Organizing Committee is monitoring the sea condition

The Organizing Committee of the 29th Al Gaffal Long Distance Race is getting ready for the big event, which is held under the support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, has advised all the sailors to wait for further instruction before heading to Sir Bu Na'air Island prior to the race start on Friday.

The organizing committee has set the date on Friday as per the weather forecast in which the condition of the sea and wind are suitable for the race which will start from Sir Bu Na'air Island passing thru the Moon Island until the finish line near the Burj Al Arab with a distance of 51 nautical miles. 

They also notify all the boat owners and the sailors thru SMS to ensure that they will wait for further instruction of the club before heading their way towards the Island to ensure the participants safety. 


As per the club Director of Sports, Hezaim Al Gemzi the committee is working closely in monitoring all the aspects pertaining to the race especially the sea condition issued by the National Center of Meteorology in the coming days. He stated that the arrival of all the participants and their safety is the main concern in proceeding the next steps which is the Technical Inspection held in the Island prior the race day.  

He also remind all the owners and racer to complete all the procedure of the club pertaining to registration which include their identity, ownership and ownership of a boat  and that shows the full name of all the crew member wherein he said that the committee has sent the link with the procedure to register and Race Instruction a week ago.
