90 Competitors for the UAE Int'l Aquabike Championship today (Saturday)

All attention this Saturday morning is on Dubai Island, which is hosting the first and opening round of the UAE International Aquabike Championship 2024 organized by the Dubai International Marine Club as part of the sports season 2023-2024.

Dubai Islands, the splendid cultural destination in Dubai managed by Nakheel, the world's leading real estate developer, who is hosting the race for the second year in a row in conjunction with World Coolest Winter , on its fourth session under the slogan "Unforgettable Stories."

Dubai International Marine Club completed its preparations and necessary equipment for the success of the race in coordination with our partners from government departments and national institutions. Last Thursday, during the meeting with the participants, the committee discussed the race course and rules in the race instructions. On Friday, the registration and technical inspection were completed.

The UAE International Aquabike Championship – Dubai Heat 1 brings together 90 competitors representing 11 countries, led by the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Palestine, Britain, Belgium, Hungary, and Cyprus.

The participants will compete for titles in 10 categories, including Ski Division GP 1, Runabout GP3 (UAE Nationals), Ski Division GP2, Runabout GP2, Veterans GP2 (2 Stroke), Ski Junior GP3.3, Ski Junior GP3.2, Ski Junior GP3.1, Runabout GP4, and Runabout GP1.

The race will be divided into two sessions: one in the morning for RACE 1, which will start at 9:00 AM, and the afternoon for RACE 2, which will start at 2:00 PM. This will be followed by the awarding ceremony for the top three winners of the race.

Mohammed Harib, Board Member and CEO of Dubai International Marine Club, welcomes the participants to the UAE International Aquabike Championship – Dubai Heat 1, extending his best wishes to everyone. 

Harib also expresses his gratitude to the management of Nakheel for hosting the race on the stunning beaches of Dubai Islands. He congratulates the management for earning global accreditation for the Blue Flag program last December, signifying the beach's cleanliness, adherence to security and safety requirements, sustainable management, and excellent water quality.

Every season the UAE Int'l Aquabike Championship gather emerging talents in this sports through the three categories in Ski Junior in which 13 participants will compete in Ski Junior GP 3.3 (13-15 years old), Ski Junior GP 3.2 (10-12 years old) and Ski Junior GP 3.1 (9-10 years old)

 


Dubai Sports TV

Dubai Media Incorporation continues its steadfast support for DIMC’s watersports activities by broadcasting the race live on Dubai Sports TV Channel. The broadcast starts at ten o’clock in the morning session and at two o’clock in the afternoon session.

The team, under the supervision of Abdul Rahman Amin, the General Manager of Dubai Sports TV Channels, has completed all arrangements for the live broadcast. This was done with the follow-up of Abdul Khaleq Al Khamis, Director of Operations and Operations, and producer Ismail Abdul Latif. The guidance of the distinguished director, Mohammad Saeed Al Ketbi, and the voice of the well-known sports commentator, Abdullah Suwaidan, further enhance the quality of the broadcast.
