Al Mamzar Lake will hosts today the first stop of the Dubai Watersports Festival

Al Mamzar Lake in Dubai will witness today the launching of the series for the Dubai Watersports Festivals (Week One) which is organized by the Dubai International Marine Club as part of the marine sports calendar 2020-2021. 

The Dubai Watersports Festival is organized in line with the implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, and along with the plans of the Dubai Sports Council towards a healthy society, and the efforts of the DIMC Board of Directors headed by Ahmed Saeed bin Meshar which aims to achieve community partnership and to provide a safe environment to practice the sports freely.

The Festival was launched by Dubai International Marine Clun as part of the club's effort to develop the marine sports since its establishment in 1988 , the aim of the festival is to teach the basic / introduction of Jetski (Aquabike) and Motosurf to the Junior for them to improve their skills and encourage them to practice various watersports in a safe environment in accordance with the precautionary measures and with the guidance of the sports experts.

The Dubai Watersports Festival (Week One) today is about the introduction of the Jetski (Aquabike) and Motosurf with the supervision of the Technical Staff led by the Victory Team department led by the coach Chris Wilkinson for the Aquabike (Jetski) and on the other hand for the Motosurf is supervise by Martin Vlecek of the Jetsurf.

As per the organizing committee's timetable the event will start at 2:00 PM in the afternoon with the confirmation of registration followed by the participant's briefing and introduction  then by 3:00 PM will start the actual sea trial wherein the participants are given a chance to do rounds with set lap.

The organizing committee of the Dubai International Marine Club completed all the required preparations for the said event as per the update in the meeting led by Mohammed Hareb, the CEO of DIMC wherein he confirmed the procedure and steps explained by the Victory Team and as well as the Jetsurf Foundation. 


Procedures

The organizing committee set some guidelines and procedures to follow during the Dubai Watersports Festival (Week One) first is to adhere to all the precautionary measure protocol issued by the Dubai Sports Council that includes checking of body temperature, social distancing,  hand sanitation and as well as the equipment sanitation for the safety of all the participants.


Medals

As incentive to all the participants of the Dubai Watersports Festival (Week One) the committee will handover a commemorative medals while the Jetsurf Foundation led by the expert Martin Vlecek will present a special prize for the best performance in the motosurf.
