Al Serb boat no. 80 which is owned by Rashid Khadim Al Muhairi and skippered by Rashid Ahmed Rashid Al Muhairi topped the 22ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race Overall organized by the club under the marine sports season 2019-2020
The 22ft Dhow Sailing Race includes the into two categories for the sailor under 16 years old as the junior and the sailor under 18 years old as the youth which aim to train the sailors at young age about the traditional sports and to encourage them to participate in the bigger race such as the 43ft Dhow Race in the future.
The promising performance of the boat no. 80 resulted in gathering a total of 6 points putting them in the first place in the overall ranking wherein in the first & second race they took the third place respectively.
Along with Al Serb 80 in the overall ranking is the prominent competitor the boat no. 18 Dahes led by Abdulrahman Abdulla Al Marzouoqi who got a total of 8 points after taking the fourth position twice in the two races held.
Taking off the third spot is the boat no. 118 Eklaa led by Saif Ebrahim Hassan Al Marzouqi who took a total of 10 points after winning first place in the first round and took the ninth position in the second round.
In the fifth place is the boat no. 31 Mura’ab led by Ebrahim Saleh Mohd. Ahmed Al Hamadi with 11 points followed by boat no. 81 Hasheem skippered by Ahmed Yousef Salim Alhamadi with a total of 12 points.
Al Serb boat no. 80 led by Rashid Ahmed Rashid Al Muhairi gathered a total of 6 points after finishing the third place in the two rounds of the 22ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race.
Zilzal boat no. 87 led by Eisa Sultan Al Marzouqi was crowned as a champion of the second round of the 22ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race which is held last 29th of February
Eklaa boat no. 118 led by Saif Ebrahim Hassan Al Marzouqi won the first place in the first round of the 22ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race which is held last 27th of September.
A total of 51 boats successfully participated in the two rounds of the 22ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race in the marine sports season 2019-2020.
