Bin Meshar : The Participation of Oman & Bahrain add up in the heritage races

The Dubai International Marine Club congratulated Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee as the boat no. 54 KHK is crowned as champion of the 24th edition of the Al Maktoum Cup Traditional Rowing- 30ft under the marine sports season 2020 -2021.

Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar, Chairman of the Dubai International Marine Club, congratulated the brothers from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the crew of the boat KHK 54 led by Ahmed Nasser Al Busumit for winning the first place in the race and by motivating everyone to preserve the popular heritage sports in the Gulf region.

He also congratulated the crew of the Oman 44 owned by the Ministry of Culture , Youth and Sports in the Sultanate of Oman led by Humaid Bin Salim bin Humaid Al Bahri as well as the crew of the third placer the boat no. 65 Al Zahab 2 owned by Ahmed Ebrahim Al Shamsi and led by skipper Jumaa Yousif Al Jenaibi. And to all the participants of the Dubai Traditional Rowing Race - 30ft that makes the Al Maktoum Cup Traditional Rowing Race a successful one. 

A great heritage sports

 The Chairman of DIMC concluded his speech by noting that the Al Maktoum Cup Traditional Rowing Race – 30ft carries a Gulf character that is part of the continuous effort by the club to carries out traditional races before the end of 2020. He also praises the efforts of the board members and the executive management, organizing committee and sports enthusiast from the participants and audience in making the success of the event. He also appreciates the efforts of the club’s partner from government and national institution.
