DIMC and P&O Marinas signed a Strategic Partnership to Promote Marine Sports in Dubai

Dubai International Marine Club, the government entity responsible for organizing marine sports activity in the Emirates, and P&O Marinas, the Dubai’s premium marina operator and yacht destination, a subsidiary of DP World, have signed a joint agreement to strengthen the partnership between the two institutions in support of the development in various activities and events in the field of marine sports. 

The agreement was signed by DIMC Chairman Ahmad Saeed Bin Meshar  and Hamza Mustafa, Chief Operating Officer at P&O Marinas in the ceremony that took place in their headquarter at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Cruise Terminal. With the presence of the DIMC Board Members Rashid Thani Al Aail and Jamal Zaal joining them are the P&O Marina’s Head of Strategic Management - Dr. Fabiana Maccarini , Saeed Al Marri - Senior Manager of P&O Marinas , Essam Ahmed - Senior Manager of Business Development, and some guest.

This move by DIMC Board of Directors and P&O Marinas is in line with its updated strategic plan 2021-2027, which aims to strengthen partnership among the government and private organizations. This will create a suitable environment for individuals looking to practice the watersports, while also promoting the development of major sporting events in the Emirates. 

This partnership will enhance the effective role of Dubai International Marine Club and P&O Marinas in supporting sailing as international sport and to increase Dubai's representation in Olympic games.  Both sides will exchange information and area of expertise in various field of local and international sporting event, while aiming to establish maritime schools and academies to develop talents,  prepare trainers and technical committee.
