The Dubai International Marine Club celebrated the success of the last race, the 27th edition of the Al Maktoum Cup, which is the most prestigious rowing competition and the conclusion of the 2023-2024 championship of the Dubai Traditional Rowing Race - 30ft.

With the success of the 27th Al Maktoum Cup Traditional Rowing Race - 30ft, the club was keen on honoring representatives from government departments and national institutions during the awarding ceremonies in appreciation of their continued support and cooperation.

Mohammed Harib, Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai International Marine Club, accompanied by Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Sports Affairs Department at DIMC, presented shields to cooperating parties. Notably, the Dubai Police General Command was recognized for their role and unremitting cooperation, which manifested in various aspects, including the success of the rowing championship rounds, where the honorary shield award was received by Dr. Maryam Anas Al Matroushi, Chairman of the Athletes Council.

Mohammed Harib presented a shield of appreciation to the Dubai Municipality, received by Firas Al Hariri. The club also sought to honor its media partner, Dubai Media Incorporated, where Mohammed Saeed Al Ketbi, the representative of Dubai Sports Channels, received a commemorative shield in appreciation of the Channel's contributions to broadcasting events with high distinction.

The club expressed gratitude to the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation for its support in events, attendance, and participation in the traditional rowing race. The federation also played a role in introducing the public and participants to technical aspects related to participating in modern rowing races and the mechanism of sailing across Olympic boats in singles, doubles, quads, and teams.

Recognizing the crucial role played by humanitarian ambassadors in event success, the medical team, represented by Dr. Sabri Al-Nadhari and Dr. Muhannad Hamouda from VIP Ambulance and Medical Services Company, was honored. The team consistently contributes to ensuring the safety of participants and audiences, implementing a number of medical initiatives.
