Dubai International Marine Club launched its initiatives to honour the success partners from government departments and national institutions that contributed to the success of the 33rd edition of the Al Gaffal 60ft Traditional Dhow Sailing Race, which concluded last month.
The club honoured representatives from the General Department of Dubai Civil Defence at its headquarters in Mina Seyahi. The department continued to support the club in its various activities during the 2023-2024 sports season and contributed significantly to the 33rd Al Gaffal Race through the Marine Fire and Rescue Department and Firefighting Team Dolphin.
During the meeting, Mohammed Abdulla Harib Al Falahi, CEO and Board Member at Dubai International Marine Club, was keen to praise the great effort and fruitful cooperation evident in the activities of the past marine sports season 2023-2024. He extended his sincere thanks to His Excellency Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Director General of the General Directorate of Civil Defence in Dubai, for his continued interest and support.
Harib presented an honorary shield to the General Department of Dubai Civil Defence, which was received by First Lieutenant Anwar Abdullah Mohammed Al Ali, Head of the Fire and Marine Rescue Department, in the presence of the directors from the club’s administrative units, members of the Fire and Marine Rescue Department team, and the Firefighting Dolphin Team.
