Dubai International Marine Club recorded a global success in the calendar of the UIM (Union Motonautique Internationale) racing through marine sports 2021-2022 which recently ended with the 31st Al Gaffal Race organized last June.

DIMC continues its organizational excellence in the world of watersports, particularly in modern and traditional racing.

One of the great events hosted by the club that took place last mid-December was the season finale for the XCAT racing which gathered participants from all over the world after the season hiatus due to the pandemic Covid-19. In the said race the Dubai Police 3 team participated, led by the Emirati duo Arif Al Zaffain and Nader Bin Hindi.

The race was held under the UIM (Union Motonautique Internationale) which catches the attention of the public held on one of the stunning beaches in Jumeirah near the Dubai Water Canal showcasing the World Island and Deira Island, the Al Shorooq beach or commonly known as Sunrise Beach.

During that race, the Boat Parade was held participated by 24 contestants from all over the world wherein for the first time it goes thru the Dubai Water Canal passing thru under the Tolerance Bridge down to the skyline of the tallest building the Business Bay Area which incredibly amazed the audience. The president of the UIM, Dr. Raffaele Chiulli described that moment as a unique experience that embodies the true spirit of sports and camaraderie.

DIMC ended the wonderful celebration of the 2021 XCAT season finale with the Gala Dinner held in Westin, Mina Seyahi attended by the participants, partners, and guests wherein in the speech of Dr. Raffaele Chiulli he bid farewell to the successful year.

The club is keen to organize major events that started with the season opening for the UIM calendar 2021 -2022, the first round of the UIM International Aquabike Championship that brought together 80 riders from 20 countries all over the world.

Centenarian Postcard

In celebration of the UIM (Union Motonautique Internationale) centenarian year this 2022, they send a special postcard with the slogan in the background was the view of Burj Al Arab and the powerboats which were taken during the XCAT Dubai Grand Prix, it was send to all the member , teams and partners of the UIM.
