Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) is hosting a specialized training course on responding to offshore accidents in powerboat races, organized by the Safety Department at DIMC. The course was attended by the Dubai Ports Police Station as part of the ongoing cooperation and joint efforts to ensure the success of the 2024-2025 season.
The course began last Tuesday and will continue until tomorrow, Friday, as part of DIMC's preparation plans for the new season, with active participation from the Dubai Police Rescue Department and the Ports Police Station.
The training course, supervised by Wafiq Abdullah Hassan, Health & Safety Officer at DIMC, includes several stages, such as theoretical and practical training, as well as the review of powerboats and safety devices equipped in the cockpits of XCAT and Formula 1 boats at the Victory Team Department.
The specialized training will extend further for DIMC staff and the medical team from VIP Ambulance, one of the club's key success partners.
