Dubai Fishing Competition Begins Today and Concludes on Sunday

The Dubai International Marine Club's Fishing Championship has returned for its highly anticipated second round, featuring skilled competitors vying for the title in two categories: Kingfish and Cobia. The championship will take place today, Thursday until Sunday,  as part of the marine sports season 2022-2023. 

With total prize money of 165,000 Dirhams, the competition promises to be fierce, with 135,000 DHS being awarded to the winners of the Kingfish Category and the remaining 30,000 DHS divided amongst the top three winners in the Cobia category.

This year's event has piqued the interest of fishing enthusiasts in the UAE, as evidenced by the significant increase in participants. The stage is set for a four-day championship, and all eyes are on the competitors as they cast their lines in the hopes of claiming the title in the Fishing Championship.

The fishing enthusiasts have been busy registering for the Dubai International Marine Club's championship event, receiving participation stickers and race instructions from the club's headquarters situated at the Dubai Harbour. The Organizing Committee has completed all necessary preparations, and the competition stages are now underway. The club has expressed its gratitude to national companies and institutions that have generously supported the event, including Al Yazi Marine, which has provided in-kind prizes like fishing rods and mount, essential tools for fishing to the first-place winners.

Moreover, Delma Industrial Supplies & Marine Services, the ongoing partner of the Dubai International Marine Club, has announced an appreciation prize of 25,000 Dirhams for the season's champion in the Kingfish Category, adding to the excitement of the event. The winner of this prize will be revealed at the end of the season.

The Dubai Fishing Championship has provided a platform for fishing enthusiasts to showcase their skills while offering businesses an opportunity to support the event and gain exposure.
