Dubai Fishing Competition concludes in April

Dubai's International Marine Club has announced that the final round of the Dubai Fishing Competition for Kingfish and Cobia will take place from the 27th until the 30th of April 2023 under the current season.

The first round of the championship took place earlier this month alongside the 29th edition of the Dubai International Boat Show, where over 70 competitors competed for a total prize of AED 165,000. In the initial round, multiple participants managed to catch 30 fish, comprising 24 Kingfish and 6 Cobia, weighing over 598.9 Kilograms.  

The round witnessed the breaking of the championship's record for the heaviest fish caught since the event started four seasons ago. Competitor No. 67, Jumaa Nasser Al-Mehairi, managed to catch 40.10 kg of Cobia, measuring 143 cm in length. 

Meanwhile, participants in the Dubai Fishing Competition received the happy news that Delma Industrial Supplies and Marine Services has offered a reward of AED 25,000 to the season's Champion in the Kingfish category. The tournament's participants praised the support of Delma Industrial Supplies and Marine Services and its chairman Ayoub Alkhajeh who has continuously supported the fishing enthusiasts and hobbyists in various Emirates of the country.

Mohammed Harib, the CEO of the Dubai International Marine Club, praised the significant role played by national institutions in supporting and encouraging participants in the club's events and activities, including the role of Delma Industrial Supplies and Marine Services .
