The Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) has finalized its arrangements for the upcoming second round of the Dubai Fishing Competition (Kingfish and Cobia) which is scheduled to begin on Thursday and until Sunday as part of the 2022-2023 marine sports season.

DIMC has been at the forefront of fishing competitions in recent seasons, organizing the Dubai Fishing Competition on its fourth consecutive season as part of the club's ongoing efforts to provide opportunities for all segments of society and to attract marine sports enthusiasts from various categories, thereby strengthening its role in the community.

The club successfully organized the first round of the Dubai Fishing Competition last month, in conjunction with the 29th edition of the Dubai International Boat Show, with over 70 participants catching 24 Kingfish and 6 Cobia fish with a total weight of more than half a ton, specifically 598.9 KG.

According to Mohammed Al Marri, Director of Sports Affairs at the Dubai International Marine Club, the preparations for the competition are in full swing wherein the organizing committee has announced last week the opening of registration through the club's electronic portal. Interested participants can register and receive participation stickers until Wednesday, at the club's headquarters in Dubai Harbor.

The competition will officially begin with "Password" to be announced by the committee and will continue for four consecutive days, the handover of catch fished will be held  at Jumeirah 5 (Fishermen Harbor 3) daily from 5:00 - 9:00 PM except on Sunday which will be from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
