The new tourist destination will host the Dubai Islands Event on Saturday, April 13th, organized by the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) in cooperation with Nakheel as part of the 2023-2024 sports season. 

DIMC has announced the opening of registration for the event, which includes the Dubai Kayak Boats Fishing Tournament and the Dubai Stand Up Paddling & Kayak Race, both of which are open to all through the club's website.

Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Sports Affairs Department at the Dubai International Marine Club, emphasized the diverse range of events, races, and festivals in this year's sports season aimed at attracting various segments of society. He noted that the club is committed to providing opportunities for all segments to participate in sporting events within a competitive yet safe environment, meeting all safety standards.

Al Marri highlighted that the upcoming event on Saturday is a community festival for marine sports enthusiasts interested in kayak fishing, stand-up paddling, and kayak racing. He extended an open invitation to those interested in participating throughout the day.

It's worth mentioning that DIMC, has organized various events in Dubai Islands, including the Dubai Kitesurf Open and the opening round of the UAE Int’l Aquabike Championship, attracting international racers from 11 countries.
