Hamdan Bin Rashid inaugurates Pearl Exhibition in Al Fahidi neighborhood

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum , Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance opened yesterday (Thursday) the First Pearl Exhibit of Al Gaffal Dhow Race located at Al Fahidi Neighborhood - Dar Al Nadwa House No. 20 in conjunction with Al Gaffal Long Distance Race which will last until Saturday.

The collection exhibition document the heritage of pearl diving for a thousands of years and includes a rare collection of the wonders of natural pearls from all over the world , valued at AED 100 million , where this topic collection contains certificates from international laboratories to detail the information of the rare possession associated  in the profession of diving  with the lives of the people from the UAE in the past as well as present. The pearl constituted one of the economic pillars in the previous trade, from Mustafa Al Fardan, the founder of the exhibition.

Attended in the opening ceremony of the exhibition is Ali Nasser Belhabala , the Vice Chairman of DIMC and Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Al Gaffal Race with the board Member and CEO of DIMC Mohammed Hareb and Hezaim Al Gemzi the Director of Sports Department at DIMC and Mohammed Abdullah Al Shamsi the acting CEO, with  Diab Rashidi Consul General of the Embassy of Kuwait in Dubai and Northern Emirates and Dhaen Shaheen Dubai culture and Arts consultant  from Dubai Culture. 

He praised His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid during his tour of the exhibition the great effort that has been made in the collection and documentation of those bright eras of the history of the UAE and the lives of parents and grandparents praising the founder and supervisor of the exhibition Mustafa Al Fardan for his efforts in preparing and processing this unique exhibition and organization in the historic Al Fahidi neighborhood where the visitors of the state will see the different side of the UAE people longed from their history. 

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum , visit and stopped  at the most important collection in the exhibit which displayed models of the past holdings through modern technologies, which keep up to date to highlight the history. His Highness Signed one of the murals which highlight his support and will draw more visitor in the next era's.

Mustafa Al Fardan , the founder of the exhibit "First Pearl Exhibit of Al Gaffal Race " extend his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum , Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance and patron of the closing race in launching the  opening of the exhibition inline with the 29th Al gaffal Long Distance Race. Noting his interest and favored of opening the exhibition in honoring the historical status of the pearl diving in the history of the UAE.

Al Fardan, praised the outstanding role of Dubai International Marine Club chaired by HH Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , President of the Club and the Supreme Organizing Committee for the 29th edition of the Al Gaffal Long Distance race headed by Ahmed Saeed bin Meshar and Ali Nasser Belhabala which he wished the success of the big event. He also thanks the Dubai Culture for its support in the exhibit with the partnership from UMIT Collection and Monogram

He stressed that the objective of the exhibition is to commemorates the 29th Al Gaffal Race in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and UMIT Collection and Monogram which help him to work on a good display of historical holdings associated with the profession of diving which highlighted the generations and cooperation with the institutions and the role of museums for gulf and international promotion of the culture and heritage of diving and trade pearl, that adds up in the new economic icon.

The exhibit is open from 25th-27th of April from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM featuring the documentation about the heritage of pearl diving and will be showcasing a rare collection of natural pearls all over the world .
