Implementation of the strategic plan and organizational structure of DIMC

The Board of Director of Dubai International Marine Club headed by Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar approved the updated strategic direction plan for the year 2021 until 2027 and the new organizational chart of the club that will serve as the compass for developing the club’s strategy towards the future which aim to enrich the sports and administrative system to achieve the new vision and creative ideas. This innovative plan will keep pace with the vision of the state and emirate inspired by the strategic objectives set by Dubai Government and thru the directions of Dubai Sports Council.

The Board of Directors of Dubai International Marine Club headed by Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar with Saif Juma Al Suwaidi, the Vice President, and with the membership of Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, Rashid Thani Al Aail, Jamal Zaal bin Krishan, Essa Mohamed Elhag Nasser and  Khalid Ali Al Balooshi who was keen to stress the importance of every stage and the needs of unity and efforts to achieve leadership excellence that will preserve the club reputation as a symbol of sustainable development in marine sports. 

During the monthly meeting of the Board of Director was briefed on the final output related to the strategic direction and the organizational structure. This step is taken by the Strategic Organizational Affair Committee during the last periods in order to constitute a turning point in the path of developing the administrative and sports work system which aims to complete the development and modernization process in the club towards a promising opportunities. The club’s vital role in enhancing the position of the UAE and the Emirate of Dubai to be a sports and tourist destination.

The club's new strategic plan includes focusing on the development of institutional and sports innovation, raising the efficiency of sports competitiveness globally, strengthening the work system and investment orientation in order to achieve the vision represented in the traditional and modern marine events/races.

The Institutional Value achieved thru organizing and developing the sports concept are as follow: Teamwork , Competition, Excellence, Transparency, Efficiency and Innovation.

The Board of Directors of DIMC directed the Executive Management of the club to implement the decision and assigned Mohammed Hareb , the CEO of the club to issue a necessary executive decision that will keep pace with the new strategic direction and the updated organizational structure in order to make the next stage of the club a success and to implement all the necessary requirement to implement this direction.

The club’s CEO indicated that the decision to implement the strategic plan and organizational structure of the club is a new stage for the club’s history and in continuing the path of excellence that the club has taken since its establishment.

He said, "We are pleased to announce the start of the new phase in the club's career and to provide work and effort that matches the ambitions of our wise leadership and translate the confidence of the officials in achieving all this goals."

Five Main Goals of the Strategic Direction 

- Developing the marine sports system in the Emirate of Dubai, increasing the popularity of marine sports and raising the community participation. 

- Developing the administrative and support services in accordance with the criteria of flexibility, efficiency and effectiveness in specialized field 

- Developing an institutional work environment that is supportive, stimulating for innovation and attracting talent

- Raising the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial investment of the club

- Strengthening the position of the sports team globally and nurturing national talents in marine sports


DIMC Milestone 

1988

In 5th of May, 1988 the Dubai International Marine Club established as a translation of vision of the late His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum’s.

1994

In 1994 the late His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, issued a decree formally the Dubai International Marine Club, the government agency responsible for marine sports announced at the level of the Emirate of Dubai.


2019

In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued Decree No. (34) of 2019, according to which the Victory Team Establishment will henceforth operate under Dubai International Marine Club.

2020

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council issued a Resolution No. (2) for the year 2020, to form a board of directors for the Dubai International Marine Club , headed by Ahmed Saeed bin Meshar, and the membership of Saif Juma Al Suwaidi as the Vice Chairman. The Board also includes Ibrahim Sultan Al Hadad, Rashid Thani Al Aail, Jamal Zaal bin Kreshan, Essa Mohamed Elhag Nasser and Khalid Ali Al Balooshi.
