The 2025 Dubai Watersports Day, organized by the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), concluded successfully, marking a significant achievement in both technical and organizational aspects. The two-day event, held on the stunning Jumeirah Beach, featured three thrilling sports competitions: modern rowing boats, modern sailing boats, and kayak fishing.
The grand finale was full of intense action as competitors battled it out in the critical stages of the Dubai Modern Sailing Race, which was the second round of the 2025 UAE Championship. Over 70 participants from six clubs—Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club, Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, Al Odaid Marine Sports Club, The Club Abu Dhabi, and Dubai Offshore Sailing Club—faced off for the coveted trophies.
The event was attended by H.E. Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, and Mohammed Abdullah Hareb, Board Member and CEO of DIMC. Also in attendance were Mohammed Abdullah Al Obaidli, Secretary General of the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation, and Mohammed Al Marri, Director of Sports and Competitor Affairs at DIMC. The event was closely followed by Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Racing and Sports Events Committee at Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club, along with a large audience of family members, supporters, and maritime sports enthusiasts.
