DIMC Delegation off to China to follow the XCAT World Championship

The Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) delegation headed to Shanghai on Wednesday evening to follow the XCAT World Championship , China Grand Prix the second round of the 2019 World Championships, which will start there on Friday and will last three days.

The club's delegation heading to China led by Mohammed Hareb, CEO of Dubai International Marine Club, who received the invitation of the International Organizing Committee for the event and Hezaim Al Gemzi, the Director of Sports Department, who was officially assigned by the International Maritime Racing Federation as Assistant General Supervisor.

Mohammed Hareb, CEO of DIMC, said that the XCAT World Championship has a special place in the club's map, so the club is always keen to participate and confirm its role as the founder of this category that originated here in the waters of the UAE before it reached the world .

He explained that the Dubai International Marine Club remains the main player in the development of these races and suffice the great support it provides to the World Powerboat Championship - X-CAT - by providing the logistical aspect of the team headquarters and the Organizing Committee and the shipment of containers for boats where it is linked with an agreement with the International Racing Federation Navy.

He pointed out that the participation of the delegation of the club in the big event comes within the framework of the club preparations to host the Dubai Grand Prix for XCAT , the final round of the World Championship 2019. The international mission of the event is the general supervision of a new success for our national organization, which proved its capabilities in major forums and events.

The Director of Racing Sports Department said that the new mission is a special challenge because it is the first mission externally and commissioned by the International Federation. The final round of the 2017 XCAT-World Powerboat Championship in Dubai and the pre-final round of the World Aquatic Championships in Dubai the same year.

He expressed his heartfelt wishes to all participants in the race as well as the ambassadors of the UAE sport representatives of Abu Dhabi and Dubai Police teams who will compete in the competition from next Friday on three major races, which is a special challenge for all teams before reaching the most important event of the season, the last round of the Grand Prix 2019 which will be held in Dubai during the period from 12-14 December.
