Registration closes today for the 22ft Dhow Sailing Race

Registration closes today for the 22ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race prior to the Race Day tomorrow (Friday) at Jumeirah Beach organized by Dubai International Marine Club.

The 22ft Dhow Sailing Race tomorrow signifies the opening of the new season 2021-2022, which is included in the 25 diverse events that the club will host until May 2022. Earlier the club announced the opening of the registration with the link sent via SMS to the owners and sailors,  encourages them to register until today.

There will be two rounds of 22ft Dhow Sailing Race this season wherein the first one is scheduled tomorrow and the second to be further announced.  The race will start in the afternoon and will finish with the awarding ceremony right after the race.

The Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) organized the first race for the 22ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race category way back in 1st of October 1999, as the translation of the insightful vision of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum who establish the race to serve an academy to train the young and junior sailor that will qualify them in the bigger race.
