HE Saeed Hareb, SG of DSC, is heading to the Italian city of Stresa this weekend to follow up on the Italian #XCAT World Championship, the first round of the 2019 World Championship, which begins next Friday and continues until next Sunday. The visit comes in response to an invitation from Dr. Raffaele Chiulli, President of UIM (International Powerboating Federation), in recognition of the status of the Dubai Sports Council as a leading institution that sponsors all sports in #Dubai, including marine sports as well as the prestige of HE Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council as one of the leaders in sports affecting the marine sports in the state wherein he has contributed a lot to the development of speedboat racing since the Dubai International Marine Sports Club joined the International Federation in 1991 as the first institution in the Middle East institution to be globally recognized in the development of marine sports in the UAE and the world. 

Together with the club , Saeed Harib organized several tournament which was recognized by the International Federation which is a great efforts in developing the marine sports in the country. In 2012, he was awarded the highest award by the International Federation of Influential Figures for the promotion and development of marine sports worldwide. HE Saeed Hareb expressed his satisfaction with the invitation which comes to confirm the state's position in the world of sport in general and marine sports in particular, and the relations between the Dubai Sports Council and the international sports institutions. He confirmed that during the visit he will meet with Dr. Raffaele Chiulli, the President of the International Federation. 

He also express his warm gratitude towards the tournament in which the speedboat category XCAT has been first launch in the UAE for its first category. Since then the decreased in its presence in many countries in the world, especially Europe, to the birth of the championship "X Cat" in 2011 from the waters of the UAE and developed year after year until it became one of the most important competitions supervised by the International Federation ) alongside with the Formula 1, 2 and 4 and water bikes competition.

It is worth mentioning that in the current edition of the championship we will witness the participation of several UAE stars in the world of speedboat racing led by their different teams , the Dubai Police boat no. 3 led by duo Aref Al-Zafin and Nadir bin Hendi, the  Abu Dhabi Team (holder) with the two duo Faleh Mansouri and American Shaun Torrente in the boat no. 4 and the two Rashid Al Tayer and Majid Al Mansouri in another Abu Dhabi Boat.

HE Saeed Hareb expressed his confidence in the success of the Emirates boats in the World Championship and its continued presence on the podiums thanks to the great expertise of the country's people, whether from the institutions that make up the teams or the administrative and technical staffs and the drivers who are the world of excellence and leadership.
