Under the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, the 30th edition of the Al Gaffal Long Distance Race that will be launched from Sir Bu Nair Island towards the depth of Arabian Gulf to the shores of Dubai.
The great race is a continuation of the message and approach of the founder of the festival, the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum who launched the idea of the race in 1991 and sought to develop and preserve it annually for three decades now.
The Organizing Committee of the 30th Al Gaffal Race valued the directives, support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, to hold the Al Gaffal Race in its 30th edition, such attention represented a great motivation for the success of the great race.
The interest of the racer , sailor and boat owner to participate and attend this great heritage with a participation of 106 boat that will raise their white sails early in the morning to sail safely towards the beaches of Dubai embodying the past culture of pearl diving in the Arabian Gulf which is a source of their abundant livelihood.
