The Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) continues its preparations to organize and host the first round of the UAE Int’l Aquabike Championship – Dubai, taking place this Friday and Saturday at Sunrise Beach (Al Shorooq Beach) in Jumeirah.

This event marks the opening of the 2025 International Racing Calendar under the supervision of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) and is organized in collaboration with the UAE Marine Sports Federation (UAEMSF). The race will feature top competitors from around the globe and the region, promising an intense and thrilling start to the championship season.

The organizing committee has received numerous participation requests for the big race, which will bring together a group of distinguished and rising champions in this sport. In addition to the UAE's prominent racers, stars from the GCC region—including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar—will compete alongside racers from Hungary, Britain, and France.

Participants will compete in 10 categories, including four in the Runabout division: GP1, GP2, GP3, and GP4 (Spark). The Ski Division features six categories: GP1, GP2, Veterans GP2 (2-Stroke), and Ski Junior GP3 (3.3, 3.2, 3.1 - Slalom).

The organizing committee has announced the race schedule, which begins tomorrow, Wednesday, with an informative meeting between the organizing committee and the participating racers to address questions and inquiries related to the racecourse. The meeting will be attended by Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Sports Affairs Department at DIMC, and Khaled Mohsen, the race supervisor.

All necessary procedures will be finalized on Thursday, including the announcement of the entry list and the technical inspection of all participating aquabikes, which will be conducted by the technical committee.

The roar of aquabike engines will echo across Sunrise Beach on Friday morning during the official practice for all categories. The competition officially begins in the afternoon with the first round of four categories. On Saturday, the event will culminate in intense competition across all ten categories.
