Dubai International Marine Club is gearing up to host the highly anticipated UAE International Aquabike Race - Dubai, marking the first round of the 2025 Championship. This exciting event will kick off the club’s activities for the new year, taking place on the waters of Al Shorooq Beach in Jumeirah on Friday and Saturday, January 10-11, 2025.
This event serves as the opening of the 2025 international racing calendar under the supervision of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM). It is organized in collaboration with the UAE Marine Sports Federation. The race will feature top competitors from across the globe and the region, promising an intense and thrilling start to the championship season.
10 Categories
Participants will compete in 10 categories, including four in the Runabout division: GP1, GP2, GP3, and GP4 (Spark). The Ski Division features six categories: GP1, GP2, Veterans GP2 (2-Stroke), and Ski Junior GP3 (3.3, 3.2, 3.1 - Slalom).
Event Schedule
The action begins on Thursday, January 9, with registration confirmation and technical inspections for all competitors. Friday morning kicks off with free practice from 08:00 to 09:00, setting the stage for official competitions, which start in the afternoon at 2:00 PM, featuring: Runabout GP3, Veterans GP2 (2-Stroke), Runabout GP4 (Spark) and Ski GP4 (4-Stroke). The grand finale on Saturday, January 11, will showcase electrifying races for professionals and amateurs in both morning and afternoon sessions.
A Festival of Marine Sports
This year’s race returns with a revamped format, transforming the event into a two-day marine sports festival.
Mohammed Al Marri, Director of Sports Affairs at the Dubai International Marine Club, expressed his excitement about hosting this international event at the picturesque Al Shorooq Beach.
“We are delighted to welcome elite champions from around the world to the UAE International Aquabike Race - Dubai. This year, the event takes on a vibrant new format, creating a festival atmosphere that combines competitive spirit with stunning coastal views,” said Al Marri.
He also extended his gratitude to DIMC’s partners, including Dubai Municipality, Ports Police Station, Dubai Media Incorporated, and VIP Medical Services, for their invaluable contributions to the success of the club’s events.
