15 January 2024

Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) is preparing to organize the UAE Int’l Aquabike Championship - Dubai Heat 1, the opening round of the 2024 Championship, which is set to kick off this Saturday at Dubai Island Beach.

The event is taking place during the current sports season 2023-2024 and in conjunction with the World Coolest Winter Campaign. The event will adhere to UIM (Union Internationale Motonautique) Aquabike Rules and will be supervised by the UAE Marine Sports Federation (UAEMSF).

The stunning Dubai Islands Beach will host the event for the second year in a row, continuing the successful collaboration between DIMC and Nakheel that garnered admiration from participants and the audience last season. The race attracts elite champions from the region and the Middle East, as well as international stars who have previously participated in the UAE Championship to earn general classification points in various professional categories.

Participants will compete for titles in 10 categories, including Ski Division GP 1, Runabout GP3 (UAE Nationals), Ski Division GP2, Runabout GP2, Veterans GP2 (2 Stroke), Ski Junior GP3.3, Ski Junior GP3.2, Ski Junior GP3.1, Runabout GP4, and Runabout GP1.

DIMC previously announced the opening of registration via the link sent in SMS and posted on social media, which will continue until Friday. Participants are scheduled to complete their registration and technical inspection on Friday, with an online meeting scheduled through Google Meet on Thursday.

On race day (Saturday), the schedule will be divided into two sets: Race 1 for all categories in the morning at 09:30 AM and Race 2 for all categories in the afternoon at 2:00 PM.
