DIMC successfully organized two rounds of 43ft Dhow Sailing Race last sports season 2021-2022, which is one of 30 marine sports activities that brought together hundreds of people from the different segment of society.
Remarkably the sports season 2021-2022 started off last October with different races and events , one of them is the 43ft Dhow Sailing Race which returned from the calendar after its season hiatus last 2020-2021.
Looking back at the first round this season which was organized by DIMC last 6th of November followed by the second round the following week (13th of November) with a participation of around 90 boats wherein the boats owned by Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan topped the first three places in the overall standing for the season 2021-2022. The first place went to Hasheem 153 after successfully gathering 4 points followed by Zilzal 217 with 6 points and the third places goes to Al Dhafrah 87 with 11 points.
The captains for the top three boats in the 43ft Dhow Sailing Race are brothers , they are the sons of the veteran sailor Abdullah Mohammed Juma Al Marzouqi.
The rest of the top 10 boats includes Ghazi 103 with 13 points , Al Serb 80 with 15 points, Sahm 170 with 15 points , Namran 259 with 20 points, Shamrdal 15 with 20 points , Dahis 63 with 22 points and Al Teber 55 with 23 points.
