Zilzal (125) topped the Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race (22ft)

Zilzal boat no. 25 was crowned as champion of the Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race (22ft) for the youth category which is owned by Marwan Abdullah Al Marzouki and led by his son Abdullah. 

The great race witnessed as well the brilliance of boat no. 79 Al Fahed owned by Mansour Jassem Mayouf and led by Muhammad Jassem Mayouf outperformed all other boats in the junior category (under 16 years old).

The race was organized by the Dubai International Marine Club on the beaches of Jumeirah and achieved technical success with the participation of more than 30 boats.

The young sailors showed their great abilities, especially in the way of dealing with the weather condition and change of wind speed throughout the course wherein sailing skills gained are required to successfully reach the finish line.

The boat captain, Abdulla Marwan Al Marzouqi led boat no. 125 Zilzal to the top of the ranking in the youth category ahead of the two rival boats.

Among the junior participants, boat 79 Al Fahd won first place after reaching the finish line before boat no. 2 Bayounah owned by Ahmed Al Marzouqi and led by Saeed Sultan Al Dhaheri, taking third place was boat no. 21 owned by Ahmed Al Marzouki and led by Zayed Sultan Al Dhaheri.

Right after the race was the awarding ceremony for all the winners of both categories led by the Race Director, Mohammed Al Marri who congratulated the young champions and their parents of them who follows the race in all stages of the competition.
