DIMC organized a two rounds of the 43ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race held last September wherein the boat owned by of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan took the top four spots in the overall championship points.
The competition witnesses a great success in the 43ft Dhow Sailing Race season wherein it shows a continuity of the sailing tradition among the youth where it was hand over from their grandparents to them as part of their culture.
Zilzal boat no. 217 won the first place in the overall ranking for the 43ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race after taking the top spot in the two rounds held last 7th of September and 21st of September 2019 led by the skipper Mohamed Abdulla Mohamed Al Marzouqi. The team was able to gather a total of 3 points after winning the first place in the second round and took a runner up position in the first round.
The boat no. 217 “Zilzal” was strong to take over the top spot among the rest of the boat owned by His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Taking the second place is the boat no. 153 Hasheem led by Hassan Abdulla Mohamed Al Marzouqi who took 8 points in the overall standing after finishing sixth place in the first round and runner up in the second round.
On the third place in the overall ranking is the boat no. 87 Al Asifa skippered by Marwan Abdulla Mohd. Juma Almarzouqi who gathered 9 points in the overall and the fourth among the team is the boat no. 259 Namran led by Ali Abdulla Mohammd Jumaa Al Marzouqi and collected a total of 14 points in the overall.
The rest of the top spot is the boat no. 203 Al Aber for fifth place with 15 points led by Ali Khalifa Ali Maizar Al Rumaithi while the boat no. 55 Al Tabar in the sixth position with 16 points led by Mohammad Suhail Al Muhairi and the boat no. 39 Shaheen in the seventh place with 18 points which is skippered by Khalifa Abid Thani Al Marri.
The boat. No. 39 Shaheen skippered by Khalifa Abid Thani Al Marri is the champion of the first round of the 43ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race which is held last 7th of September 2019.
The total number of boats that participated in the 43ft Dubai Sailing Championships that includes two rounds: First Round on 7th of September and Second Round on 21st of September 2019.
