His Excellency Ahmad Saeed Bin Meshar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), extended his appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, for their unwavering support that continues to drive the UAE’s global leadership and achievements across all fields — particularly in marine sports.
He highlighted that this continued support has led to the Victory Team’s triumph at the third round of the F1H2O Powerboat World Championship in Zhengzhou, China, where the team now leads the world championship standings. It has also contributed to the successful launch of the club’s 2025–2026 sports season, featuring a diverse lineup of marine events.
Bin Meshar announced the launch of the first edition of the “Internal Excellence Award” at the Dubai International Marine Club, along with the recognition of its inaugural winners. The award reflects the vision of the wise leadership in fostering a culture of excellence within government institutions, celebrating exceptional performers, and promoting a positive and inspiring work environment that fuels ambition, creativity, and continuous success without limits.
The announcement was made during the fifth DIMC Board of Directors meeting of 2025, chaired by H.E. Ahmad Saeed Bin Meshar, and attended by board members: Saif Juma Al Suwaidi (Vice Chairman), Khalid Khamis Bin Dismal, Khalid Ali Al Balooshi, and Mohammed Abdullah Harib, Board Member and CEO of DIMC.
During the meeting, the Board reviewed a report on the completed events of the current season, including the 22ft and 43ft Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Races, which featured participation from leading owners and captains. The races were distinguished by high levels of competition and diverse winners, while incorporating updated technical standards that enhanced safety without compromising the heritage essence of the races.
The Board also reviewed the upcoming events calendar organized and supervised by DIMC, which includes various marine races and sporting activities that highlight the club’s ongoing commitment to supporting the sports sector, empowering youth, and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
The Board of Directors directed the provision of all necessary support to the Victory Team as it prepares to compete in the fourth round of the F1H2O Powerboat World Championship, set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from November 27 to 29. The team aims to maintain its leading position in both the individual and team standings, and to continue its strong pursuit of the championship title this season.
The Board commended the efforts of the technical and support teams working alongside the Victory Team, which include a distinguished group of Emirati professionals with extensive experience in marine racing. The Board expressed its confidence in their continued excellence and in their efforts to honorably represent the United Arab Emirates on the international stage.
The meeting concluded with the approval of several internal administrative decisions and discussions on the workflow and progress across various departments within the club.
