The event will take place over three days, from 16 to 18 January, as a comprehensive sports festival at Jebel Ali Beach, Dubai. The festival will feature five main competitions:

  • UAE Modern Sailing Championship
  • UAE Rowing Championship
  • Dubai Stand-Up Paddling & Kayak Race
  • Dubai Kayak Boats Fishing Competition
  • Dubai Kitesurf Competition

A total of AED 231,000 in prize money will be awarded to the top finishers across all competitions.

Mohammed Harib, CEO of Dubai International Marine Club, emphasized that Dubai Marine Sports Day reflects the club’s commitment to developing marine sports as a platform that bridges traditional maritime heritage with modern water sports. He said:

“Each year, the club organizes this event to support talent, promote marine safety awareness, and strengthen Dubai’s position as a global destination for marine sports. The event also advances sustainability and innovation in the maritime sector by reviving Emirati maritime heritage, engaging the younger generation, encouraging safe and sustainable marine sports, and enhancing community and tourism participation.”

The event will also feature accompanying activities, including public training sessions in modern sailing through the Victory Academy. Harib added:

“We aim for these three days to be both educational and enjoyable for the community and families, giving them a chance to experience these marine sports in an environment that fosters long-term excellence. This year, the event will take place at the Jebel Ali waterfront as part of our ongoing efforts to diversify event locations and reach a wider segment of the community.”

Dubai Marine Sports Day is organized in collaboration with: UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation (UAESARF), Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC), Dubai Police, and Dubai Municipality.
