Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the UAE Marine Sports Federation and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, crowned the winners of the UAE Fishing Championship (Kingfish & Cobia), and the champions of the 2025 Aquabike Night Show. The event concluded on Sunday at the scenic Dubai Harbour.
The Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) organized a series of exciting activities over five days as part of its board’s strategic initiatives and in alignment with the Year of Community initiatives. The events also coincided with the 31st edition of the Dubai International Boat Show 2025, attracting widespread participation from diverse segments of society.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan congratulated the organizing committee at DIMC for the successful execution of the event, which saw the participation of 130 competitors over five days. By the end of the championship, the total weight of fish caught exceeded 800 kg, all of which will be donated to charitable organizations across more than 30 initiatives. He also extended his congratulations to the winners in each category.
During the award ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan received a commemorative shield from DIMC. Additionally, he presented honorary shields to the main sponsor of the UAE Fishing Championship, Dalma Marine, and as well to the sponsors of the UAE Fishing Championship - Dubai 2025, including Al Yazi Marine, Sayaf Marine, Da Hunter, Elite Fishing App, Bob Marlin, and Advance Media. He also honored the women’s team, Team Al Namoos, with participation medals and a special shield in recognition of their efforts.
In the UAE Fishing Championship (Kingfish), competitor No. 69, Marwan Ahmed Sheikh Majran Al Kindi, secured first place with an impressive catch weighing 33.75 kg. Competitor No. 17, Saeed Ibrahim Abdullah Mohammed, claimed second place with a catch of 32.80 kg, while competitor No. 18, Mohammed Yousif Al Zarouni, finished third with a weight of 31.70 kg.
In the Cobia category, competitor No. 71, Majran Hamad Ahmed bin Sheikh Majran Al Marrar, took the top spot with a remarkable catch of 33.70 kg. Competitor No. 87, Ali Abdullah Ali Laghar, finished second with a catch of 30.05 kg, followed by competitor No. 18, Mohammed Yousif Al Zarouni, who secured third place with a weight of 28.65 kg.
The award ceremony was attended by Ahmed Ali Al Sheryani, Secretary-General of the UAE Marine Sports Federation; Mohammed Saif Al Marri, Director of Sports and Competitors Affairs at DIMC; and Ayoob Al Khaja, Chairman of Delma Marine, the main sponsor of the UAE Fishing Championship 2025.
Aquabike Night Show 2025
The closing ceremony at Dubai Harbour also featured the crowning of the champions of the Aquabike Night Show. In the Freestyle category, UAE’s Rashid Ali Saleh Al Mulla claimed first place, while fellow Emirati Mohammed Ali Jaber Al Hameli secured third place. South Africa’s Reynardt Esterhuizen finished in second place. In the Flyboard category, brothers Manea and Marwan Habib Al Marzouqi dominated the competition, securing first and second place, respectively.

He highlighted the strong collaboration between the organizing committee, participants, and competitors, emphasizing that the enthusiastic participation showcased the remarkable progress and relentless determination of the athletes in their pursuit of victory.
