UAE Fishing Championship (Cobia and Kingfish) Draws Strong Participation

UAE Fishing Championship is set to launch on Tuesday, coinciding with the 31st edition of the Dubai International Boat Show. Organized by the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), the event is a key part of the 2024-2025 marine sports season.

The organizing committee at DIMC has been actively preparing for the event, opening registration and announcing the official schedule. Participants must complete the required registration procedures, adhere to UAE Marine Sports Federation regulations, and receive event stickers and participation guidelines. The competition will span five consecutive days, with competitors striving to secure the heaviest catch.

The online registration portal has witnessed overwhelming interest, attracting both professional and amateur fishing enthusiasts from across the UAE. Many participants have already received their official event stickers, marking the beginning of their quest for the biggest catch in the waters of the Arabian Gulf.

Mohammed Al Marri, Director of Sports Affairs Department at DIMC, welcomed all participants to this year's Fishing Championship, which returns in a new format under the "Year of the Community… Hand in Hand" theme. Additionally, the event is now recognized as an official round of the UAE Fishing Championship 2025.

For the first time, live results will be published directly via the Sport Fishing app, ensuring an interactive experience for all fishing enthusiasts. Additionally, the UAE Marine Sports Federation and Dalma Marine have introduced a special prize for the UAE Kingfish Champion, with results from the Dubai Fishing Championship officially contributing to the national rankings.
