The Dubai International Marine Club will launch its first activity in the New Year 2021 on Friday and Saturday the first round of the Dubai Kitesurf Open which will be held on Nessnass Beach in Jumeirah.
The first round of the competition is one of the three rounds to be organized by the club this season 2020-2021 with the cooperation between the Emirates Kiteboarding Association (EKA) headed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.
The highly anticipated event will be held this weekend on Friday and Saturday wherein the champions will gather (professional and amateur fans of the sport from inside and outside the country) in addition to the stars of the national tram competing for the titles in the following categories: Hydrofoil . Twin Tip and Free Style.
the Dubai Kitesurf Championship has become one of the sports in the Emirate of Dubai that the fans await every year, organized by Dubai International Marine Club which hosted the first championship in the country way back 2005 and returns to the marine sports calendar last 2017-2018 season and held annually with a various rounds.
Mohammed Hareb, CEO of the Dubai International Marine Club, said that the club is pleased to welcome fans and enthusiast of the Kitesurfing to the Dubai Open in which this year includes 3 rounds wherein the first to be held this weekend followed immediately by the next week for the second round and the closing round is scheduled on March.
He praised the existing cooperation between the club and the Emirates Kiteboarding Association (EKA) headed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan for the third consecutive season since its return in the marine sports calendar last 2017-2018 and noting that the club was the first one to host the championship of the said sports in 2005.
He added : “The upcoming event is one of a kind since its gather around 80 participants from more than 30 countries including the professional and amateur's resident and visitor in the UAE in addition to the stars of the national team where in they will compete in one of the most beautiful winter atmosphere in the world."
For the first time in the marine sports calendar for season 2020-2021 , the Dubai International Marine Club has approved three rounds for Dubai Kitesurf Open.
The first round will be held on Friday and Saturday at Nessnass Beach in Jumeirah which is the usual place for the fans and enthusiast of this sports which attracts a great interest from various segments of the society among them are the citizen, resident and tourist of the emirate coming to enjoy the most coolest winter in the world.
The second round of the said competition is said to happen also in the middle of this month which set to be on the 15th & 16th of this month and the final round will be on the 26th-27th of March.
The first round competitions are one of three rounds that the club will organizes this season 2020-2021 within the club framework and interest in this sports with the strategic cooperation between the club and the Emirates Kiteboarding Association headed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.

Hazeem Al Gemzi , the Director of Sports Department at DIMC said that this year Dubai Kitesurf Open will be in three rounds this 2020-2021 season the decision comes after the sports gained its popularity among the community in which the Dubai beach have known for more than two decades now for a location in this kind of sports wherein the first championship in 2005 was held.
He said the throughout the past season 2017-2018, 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 , the Dubai Kitesurf Open achieved a great success. In the new season the committee decided to increase it rounds to motivate the participants and give the event a more competitive atmosphere. This sports will enter its history by making its way to the next Olympic Games on 2024.

Nessnass Beach in Jumeirah will host today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) the first round of the Dubai Kitesurf Open in a new excting championship series.
The Dubai International Marine Club completed all the preparations for the launching of the event this morning - Friday - in coordination with government departments and national institutions in the Emirate of Dubai and in cooperation with the Emirates Kiteboarding Association headed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.
The first rounds which will starts today and ends tomorrow is one of the three rounds of the Dubai Kitesurf Open for season 2020-2022. The other round will be on the 15th and 16th of this month and the third & final round will be in the end of March.
The competition for the first round gathers more than 80 participant from the national team and the fans of this sports in professional and amateur levels among the communities in the country as well as the tourist interested in this sports and the best times to be one of the coolest winter in the world.
The competitions begin today within two classes the free style in which the participants controls the parachute and the board to perform a certain tricks and exhibition. Another category is the Twin Tip that includes for men, women and youth.
Tomorrow it is expected to begin the competition with the Hydrofoil races wherein the all the participants gather their points to compete in the top spot in the overall of the standing per category in the championship.
Today is the conclusion of the first round of Dubai Kitesurf Open in held in Nessnass Beach in Jumeirah started yesterday organized by Dubai International Marine Club.
The competitions began on Friday with the Free Style and Twin Tip categories, with a large participation of fans of this sport from the stars of the national team, professionals and amateurs residing on this good land, where the number of participants reached more than 72 contestants and competitors.
09 January 2020: Mohammed Obaid Al Mansoori , the captain of the national team for kite surfing wherein he won the first place in Freestyle category in the first round of the competitions of the Dubai Kitesurf Open 2021 which took place in Nessnass Beach in Jumeirah last Friday. He surpassed Salem bin Jarsh Al Suwaidi who took the second place and Rashed Al Falasi on the third place.
Ahmed Dhahi Al Mehairbi excelled in the first day of the competition for the Twin Tip categories taking up the first place against Suhail Al Marri who took the second spot and Khaled Beljaflah took the third spot.
The competition witnessed participation of the 83 males and females competitors competing for the following categories : Twin Tip, Freestyle and Hydrofoil over the two days which is organized and supervised by Dubai International Marine Club in cooperation with Emirates Kiteboarding Association.
Our rising champion Abdulla Al Muhairbi continues being second in Freestyle and third place in Twin Tip against the Lebanese Gabriel Kasas who took first place in the both categories. In the Twin Tip behind him was Alex Ansedei.
In the rest of the results are the Sri Lankan Anishkha Dinel won the first place for Freestyle while in the women category Sarah Douglas. For the Twin Tip the first place in mens catgegory is Nour El Dandanchli , in the women's is Charlene Michel from Mauritius.
At the end of the race is the awarding ceremony led by the Director of Sports at DIMC , Hazeem Al Gemxi accompanied by the members of the Technical Committee for the Dubai Kitesurf Open wherein in they honor the winners in both categories of Twin Tip and Freestyle.

The committee of the Dubai Kitesurf Open was able to gather 83 participants for its first round wherein 60 of them are men, 19 women and 4 junior who competed for the titles in Twin Tip, Freestyle, and Hydrofoil categories.

The competitions witnessed the participation of competitors representing 27 countries such as : Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Morocco, Britain, France, Russia, Germany, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands, Slovenia, Poland, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Philippines, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Mauritius, in addition to the stars of our UAE national team.

Participants no. 100 Suhail Al Marri take the top spot in the closing day of the Dubai Kitesurf Open which is organized by Dubai International Marine Club as part of the marine sports season 2020-2021 that happened two days at Nessnass Beach.
The competition is organized by the club for the fourth consecutive season in cooperation with Emirates Kiteboarding Association in which for the first time in the season will have three rounds. The race achieved a great success with the participation of 100 competitors representing 30 countries around the world from amateur to professional and among them are the UAE stars and tourist that visit teh countries to enjoy one of the coolest winter in the world.
Suhail Al Marri top the Hydrofoil competition that took place yesterday -Saturday- that includes seven race beating his colleague participants no. 33 Ahmed Dhahi Al Muhairbi and no. 87 Ghaith Al Ghaith in the third place.
Ahmed Dhahi Al Mehairbi succeed in winning the category of Twin Tip competitions on the first day (Friday) up against Suhail Al Marri and Khalid Beljaflah on the third position.
In the closing day we witnessed the rising champion Abdulla Al Muhairbi getting the second place against the champion for Junior Category in Hydrofoil Gabriel Kasas from Lebanon confirming his distinct performance in the season by winning all the three categories (Freestyle, Hydrofoil and Twin Tip) for the first round of the Dubai Kitesurf Open.
The Dubai Kitesurf Open fourth edition became remarkable with the presence of the prominent star in the world continent where he was crowned champion of Hydrofoil in Men category the contestant no. 1 from Slovenia Toni Vodise who visit Dubai to participate in the event.
He as ahead among the participants in the men category followed by the Bulgarian Havdar Aleksawdrov who took the second spot and Clive Parson from Africa taking the third spot.
In the women's category of the competitions, the French contestant Derrien Clemence took the first place in the Womens Category in Hydrofoil up against Paula Mihalova from Czech in the second spot and Angelique Barbier from France in the third spot.
The final day of the Dubain Kitesurf Open was attended by the Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council , Saeed Hareb and Hazeem Al Gemzi the Director of Sports Department at DIMC who crowned the winner in to three places of each categories.
