Jumeirah beach will witness the start of the Modern Sailing Race (Dubai Junior Regatta) on Sunday as part of the marine sports calendar 2021-2022.
The community event will bring together the elite champion in Modern Sailing organized by Dubai International Marine Club in cooperation with Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC) under the UEA Sailing and Rowing Federation (UAESARF).
The race will start on Sunday with the participants registration followed by the Race Briefing to explain the course and rules of the race. The first warning signal to race is upon the weather condition at that time which will be around 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
The competition will be divided into six categories Optimist (Boys & Girls) for under 14 years old , Laser 4.7 (Boys & Girls) for under 17 years old and Laser Radial (Boy & Girls) for under 18 years old.
Today will be the last day to submit the entry form prior to the Race day on Sunday which will be around 5 rounds depending on the weather forecast esp. the windspeed. The awarding ceremony for all the winners will be held right after the race.
Dubai, March 28, 2022: Dubai Junior Regatta - Modern Sailing Race achieved a great success which is organize by Dubai International Marine Club as part of the sports season 2021-2022.
The race was held last Sunday in cooperation with Dubai Offshore Sailing Club held under the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation , which hosted the participants that competed in two categories such as Laser 4.7 (For Boys & Girls under 17) and Optimist (For Boys & Girls under 14).
