Hatta Dam Lake is set to host the highly anticipated "Dubai Stand Up Paddling and Kayak Race -Together in Hatta 2025" this Saturday. Organized by the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) as part of its community initiatives for the 2024-2025 marine sports season, the event will feature two exciting races: Stand-Up Paddling and Kayaking.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the DIMC Board of Directors, led by Ahmed Saeed bin Meshar, to promote community engagement, expand the number of marine sports enthusiasts, and showcase the diverse tourism opportunities in Dubai. Hatta Dam Lake, renowned as a premier destination for such sports, offers an ideal environment for participants to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Hatta Mountains while engaging in thrilling activities on the water.
Preparations for the event are well underway, with DIMC coordinating closely with various government department and national institutions in Hatta, including Hatta Kayak. The program kicks off in the morning, starting with participant arrivals, registration, and official training sessions, leading up to the first race at 11:00 AM.
DIMC extends an open invitation to all community members to join in the excitement and participate in these inclusive races.
Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Sports Affairs Department at DIMC, highlighted the inclusive nature of the event, stating: “This event is a fantastic opportunity for everyone, whether professionals or amateurs, to compete and experience the thrill of the races in an inspiring atmosphere.
