Dubai International Marine Club announced a series of Dubai Watersports Festival at the club new calendar for the season 2020-2021 targeting the amateur and fanatic of watersports that aims to enhance their skills and gain new experiences as well as to raise awareness in the importance of adhering to precautionary measure in practicing sports.
The Dubai Watersports Festival is organized in line with the implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, and along with the plans of the Dubai Sports Council towards a healthy society, and the efforts of the DIMC Board of Directors headed by Ahmed Saeed bin Meshar which aims to achieve community partnership and to provide a safe environment to practice the sports freely.
The first activity under the series of the Dubai Watersports Festival will start on Saturday at Al Mamzar Lake in which the event will be held for the first time. With a unique community sports gathering for the youth as their Introduction to Jetski (Aquabike) and Moto Surf.
The organizing committee has decided that the first watersports festival will be dedicated to Juniors only who would like to have a unique watersports experience. As the club prepared a surprise for the participants by providing with the Jet Ski from Victory Team along with expert Chris Wilkinson, the Head of Jetski Division at Victory Team with their Technical Staff and the administration of Jetsurf will be there as well to supervise the Motosurf activities.
Mohammed Hareb, the CEO of DIMC confirmed that the Dubai Watersports Festival is the new addition to the calendar of Dubai International Marine Club as the project aims to establish the marine sports among the segment of the society in which its popular among the country’s resident and people. The event also aims to increase awareness in practicing the sports adhering to the protocol of precautionary measure issued by the national authorities as well as to discover new talents in various sports.
He said that the week one of the festival will be on Saturday at Al Mamzar which is the first in 5 watersports festival to be organized by the club as part of the new season 2020-2021 wherein the week two will be on 24-28 November, the week three will be on 30th of January next year, the week four will be on 27th of February 2020 and the fifth will be on 27th of March 2021.
The CEO of DIMC invited the youth and juniors who is wishing to participate in the week one of the Dubai Watersports Festival to be held on Saturday at Al Mamzar Lake to enjoy an amazing experience in two sports the introduction to Jetski by Victory Team and the introduction to Motosurf by Jetsurf in location next to public access.

Al Mamzar Lake in Dubai will witness today the launching of the series for the Dubai Watersports Festivals (Week One) which is organized by the Dubai International Marine Club as part of the marine sports calendar 2020-2021.

The Festival was launched by Dubai International Marine Clun as part of the club's effort to develop the marine sports since its establishment in 1988 , the aim of the festival is to teach the basic / introduction of Jetski (Aquabike) and Motosurf to the Junior for them to improve their skills and encourage them to practice various watersports in a safe environment in accordance with the precautionary measures and with the guidance of the sports experts.
The Dubai Watersports Festival (Week One) today is about the introduction of the Jetski (Aquabike) and Motosurf with the supervision of the Technical Staff led by the Victory Team department led by the coach Chris Wilkinson for the Aquabike (Jetski) and on the other hand for the Motosurf is supervise by Martin Vlecek of the Jetsurf.
As per the organizing committee's timetable the event will start at 2:00 PM in the afternoon with the confirmation of registration followed by the participant's briefing and introduction then by 3:00 PM will start the actual sea trial wherein the participants are given a chance to do rounds with set lap.
The organizing committee of the Dubai International Marine Club completed all the required preparations for the said event as per the update in the meeting led by Mohammed Hareb, the CEO of DIMC wherein he confirmed the procedure and steps explained by the Victory Team and as well as the Jetsurf Foundation.
Procedures
The organizing committee set some guidelines and procedures to follow during the Dubai Watersports Festival (Week One) first is to adhere to all the precautionary measure protocol issued by the Dubai Sports Council that includes checking of body temperature, social distancing, hand sanitation and as well as the equipment sanitation for the safety of all the participants.
Medals
As incentive to all the participants of the Dubai Watersports Festival (Week One) the committee will handover a commemorative medals while the Jetsurf Foundation led by the expert Martin Vlecek will present a special prize for the best performance in the motosurf.
Marine Sports Enthusiast gather in the launching of the Dubai Watersports Festival Series in its Week One which is organized by the club last Saturday as part of the marine sports season 2020-2021.

The event brought together more than 40 individuals who are eager to learn and acquire skills in the basic of marine sports under the supervision of the international coaches and technicians for the first time in a rare event experience which aims to develop the watersports. The organizing committee ignite the enthusiasm of the participants to learn the introduction to Jetski (Aquabike) and Motosurf in an stunning area of Al Mamzar Lake.
The committee exert an effort to implement all the precautionary measures issued by the national authorities while doing the event and encourage the commitment of everyone including the participants, fans and organizers.
The Al Mamzar Lake was filled with the flags and banner of the club, the Victory Team, Dubai Sports Council and the sponsors of the activity which witness a huge gathering in the afternoon until evening wherein at the end of the activity all the participants received a medal representing an appreciation to all the first line of defense. The Dubai Watersports Festival Series include four more stations that will take place throughout the current season.
