DIMC is organizing for the second time the Hatta Standup Paddling and Kayak Competition in one of Dubai’s picturesque location in Hatta Dam Lake as part of the marine sports season 2021-2022.
The organization of this community event aims to promote the stunning location with the view of the mountain perfect for this weather. Looking back the last season wherein the club successfully hosted the said event for the first time with a great participation from various members of the society that paddles together in the stunning Hatta Dam Lake in cooperation with Dubai Sports Council, Hatta Adventure Company, Hatta Kayak and Emirates SUP and Surf Committee (ESSA).
The club allocated a total amount of 100,000 dirhams as prize money for the winners in Stand Up Paddling and Kayaking in various categories such as for Men, Women, Locals and Juniors ages from12-16.
The event will be on Saturday afternoon at 14:30 HRS prior to that would be the participant’s registration at 10:00 HRS , the Practice Session at 12:00 HRS and the Race briefing at 14:00 HRS.
Everyone is invited to come and participate in this exciting event which is open for all, without registration fees and the Kayak boat will be provided by Hatta Kayak while for the SUP Board the participants need to bring their own.
It is worth mentioning that the club continues to organize series of community event which aims to promote the watersports among the members of the society and to motivate them to practice the sports by providing a safe location and with the proper guidance.
