Dubai International Marine Club announced the opening of the registration for the first round of the UAE Int’l Aquabike Championship, the first International event of the UIM in celebration of its centenary (1922-2022)
The club is set to hold the first round on Saturday at Al Shorooq Beach also known as Sunrise Beach in Jumeirah wherein the event will be hosted there for the second time after 2019.
It is expected that the Aquabike race will witness participants from all over the world such as from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, France, Austria, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, and Britain along with the UAE stars competing for 11 categories: Ski GP1, Runabout GP3 (UAE National), Ski GP2, Runabout GP2, Veteran GP2 (2 Stroke), Skin Junior GP3.3 – GP3.2 – GP3.1, Runabout GP4, Runabout GP1, Hydrofly, and Freestyle.
As per the Race Time Table, the Online Meeting is scheduled on Thursday, 27th of January 2022 at 14:30 HRS while the confirmation of Registration along with the Technical Inspection will be on Friday, 28th of January 2022 at 14:00-17:00 HRS. The Race Day will be on Saturday starting from the MOTO 1 of each category at 09:45 HRS and MOTO 2 at 14:00 HRS.
A tough competition is expected on Saturday as the champions get back to Dubai after a period of Hiatus from Aquabike Racing. The committee would like to remind everyone to abide by the Safety Measure and Rules stated in the Race Instruction for the success of the event.
Remarkably the world witness the brilliance of the UAE Champions and their team in various Aquabike event of the UIM and IJSBA wherein the Victory Team won in Ski Division GP1 and Abu Dhabi team in Freestyle 2021 World Aquabike Championship while the Sharjah Team in the Triple Crown World Championship.
DIMC will be holding the 2022 UAE Int’l Aquabike Race – Heat 1 on Saturday, the first International event of the UIM (Union International Motonautique) in celebration of its centenary (1922-2022)
The procedure for participating in the race officially starts tomorrow – Thursday- with the Participants Online Meeting at 14:30 HRS, wherein the committee will further explain the Race Instruction, Timetable, Course and to remind the racers about the Safety Measure to abide in the race to limit the spread of the COVID19.
As per the approved Time Table, the Online Registration will be until tomorrow only prior to the Participants Online Meeting while Technical Inspection will be on Friday at Dubai International Marine Club headquarters at 14:00 – 17:00 HRS.
On Saturday at Al Shorooq Beach (Sunrise Beach), the crowd will witness the exciting first round of the Aquabike Competition that will start from 8:00 AM for the Official Practice followed by the RACE 1 at 09:45 AM for all the categories and RACE 2 at 14:00 PM.
Yesterday, the club has already gathered 50 participants from all over the world to compete in 12 different categories such as the Ski Division GP1 - GP2, Ski Junior GP3.1 - GP3.2 - GP3.3, Runabout GP3- GP2 - GP1 - GP4, Veterans GP2 (2 Stroke), Freestyle and Flyboard.
It is expected a huge turnout in participation in the coming hours in anticipation of the upcoming race on Saturday.
Participants Online Meeting today in preparation for the 2022 UAE Int’l Aquabike Championship – Heat 1 organized by Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) on Saturday at Al Shorooq Beach (Sunrise Beach) under the marine sports season 2021-2022.
The race will bring the best of the world champion in the first international sporting event of the UIM in celebration of its centenary (1922-2022). The event gained its international recognition several seasons ago, which attracted a lot of Aquabike enthusiasts to participate in the Championship that will give them points in the World Ranking.
The club divided the preparation into several stages for the International Aquabike Race on Saturday which starts from the Participants Meeting today wherein the committee will further explain the Race Instruction, Timetable, Race Course, and Safety Measure while the Technical Inspection to be held at the club headquarter tomorrow. The Race Day will be on Saturday at Al Shorooq Beach (Sunrise Beach) in Jumeirah from 8:00 am onwards.
Mohammed Hareb, CEO of DIMC welcomed all the champions and participants of the Aquabike Race, in the first round of the 2022 championship after a hiatus in the previous season. He said that this race has been one of the important events in the club’s calendar of activities that bring together the top racers from all over the world in one competition being held under the UIM (Union International Motonautique).
He said that the club has completed all the necessary equipment and preparations in coordination with various government department and national institution working together for the success of the upcoming event. He wishes everyone the best of luck in the opening round of the International Aquabike Race for the year 2022.

Yesterday , the first stage of the competition began with the Participants Online Meeting with the Committee which discussed about the Race Instruction, regulations and procedure to follow before and after the race.
Today, the second stage of the procedure will continue as the Racers will come at the club headquarter to confirm their participation and do the Technical Inspection prior to the race day tomorrow at Al Shorooq Beach in Jumeirah.
Mohammed Hareb, CEO of the Dubai International Marine Club, welcome all participants for the race tomorrow and inviting the public to enjoy the most beautiful winter weather in the world with the Aquabike event throughout the day.

Marine Sports enthusiast will witness today at Al Shorooq Beaach (Sunrise Beach) the Dubai Int'l Aquabike Race, the first round of the 2022 UAE Championship organized by Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) within the marine sports season 2021-2022.
The first international event of the UIM in its centenary (1922 - 2022) hosted in the most beautiful winter in the world, a beach that attracts thousand of tourist with its stunning view in Al Shorooq Beach.
The race today gather's 80 participants from 13 countries led by the UAE Stars in addition to that participants from Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Palestine, Morocco, South Africa , Britain, Russia, France , Hungary and Denmark competing for title in 12 categories in the most exciting marine sports event.
DIMC has completed all the necessary setup and equipment for the launching of today's race which was divided into several stages that began from the Opening of the race registration , Online Meeting and the Technical Inspection held yesterday at the club headquarters prior to the race today at the stunning Al Shorooq Beach.
The committee would like to remind all the participants to adhere to all the regulation and safety measure implemented by the club thus including the wearing of facemask when not practicing sports and maintaining the social distancing at all times.
As per today's race schedule the Official Practice will start at 8:30 in the morning followed by the competition divided into 2 shift , the RACE 1 at the morning and the RACE 2 at the afternoon for all the categories : Ski Division GP1 - GP2, Ski Junior GP3.1 - GP3.2 - GP3.3, Runabout GP3- GP2 - GP1 - GP4, Veterans GP2 (2 Stroke), Freestyle and Flyboard

UAE Champion dominated in the Dubai Int’l Aquabike Race - the first round of the 2022 UAE International Championship 2022 , the opening event for the UIM on its centenary (1922-2022).
The great event was witnessed in Al Shorooq Beach (Sunrise Beach) organized by Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) within the marine sports 2021-2022 with the 12 categories that the elite racers in the world competed while the Junior categories have increased its participants number.
UAE stars prove their skills in a tough battle for 12 categories that included a two race held in the morning and afternoon where most of them outperformed their competitors in taking home the trophy for the categories in Runabout, Ski Division, Ski Junior , Freestyle and Fly board Competition.
Our hero, who ranked 48th in the World , Rashid Suhail Al Tayer grab the spotlight in the opening round of the UAE Int'l Aquabike Championship after taking home the first place in the Runabout GP1 ahead of the UAE star Khalifa Belselah who finished second while the third place goes to the Kuwaiti, Rashed Al Dawas.
Khalifa Belselah also participated in the Ski Division GP1 wherein he took the third place following the lead of the French Racers, Raphael Maurin who took home the title against the Kuwaiti Yousef Al- Abdulrazzaq, the second place.
The 2021 World Champion and the second in the world ranking, Rashid Saleh Al Mulla impress the audience & the technical committee’s with his Freestyle stunt that went straight in winning the title against another UAE star, Abdul Jalil Al Awadhi while the third place goes to the Moroccan Yassin Fahdli.
In the Flyboard Competition our UAE stars Manea and his brother Majed took home the first & second place against our hero Jamal Al Janahi.
Abdulla Al Hammadi won two titles out of the 12 Categories, the first one is in Runabout GP3 against his top competitor Jamal Al Janahi while the third goes to Fahad Hassan Al Balushi. The second title he won is the Ski GP2 against the UAE Star Saeed Al Awadhi and Ahmed AL Hammadi who consecutively took the second and third place.
Our hero, Salaman Younis Alawadhi topped the Runabout GP2 after a strong race against other UAE stars Amer Hawair second place and Abu Baker Al Marri the third placer. While on the Runabout GP4 (Spark) Ahmad Alkhadari of Kuwait secures the first position against the UAE star, Ahmed Al Hammadi and taking the third position is Omer Waleed Al Qenaei.
Juniors
The juniors who distinctively come back strong in the competition in Ski Junior Gp3 – 3.3 is Saoud Younis Al Awadhi who outperformed our champion Rashid Salem who took the second place and the Kuwaiti racers, Faris Ramadan on the third place.
Our champion Ali Essa Al Ali won the title for the Ski Junior GP3 3.2 surpassing his top competitor from Qatar, Sultan Al Sharshini who took the second place and another UAE stars took the third place, Omar Al Hammadi. In the Ski Junior GP3 3.1 our star Ahmed Salem Taher won the first place ahead from his top competitor Zayed Essa Al Hammadi and the third place went to the Kuwaiti Yousef Ramadan.
Immediately after the race, the awarding ceremony was held led by the presence of Mohammed Harib , the CEO of DIMC accompanied by Khalid Mohsen the Race Director and Ahmed Al Suwaidi, who handed the medal of excellence and trophy for all the winners per category.
Two Wins
UAE stars Abdulla Al Hammadi took home two out of the twelve categories in the last race, wherein he topped the Ski GP2 & Runabout GP3. He sends his regards to his dad and uncle for the support & encouragement throughout the competition.
Sibling’s success
The siblings Salman and Sauod Younis Al Awadhi succeeded in obtaining the first place in the Runabout GP2 and Ski Junior GP3 – 3.3. The brothers, Manea and Majid Habib Al Marzouqi took the first & second place the Fly board Competition. Ahmed Salem Taher won title for the Ski Junior GP3 – 3.1 and his brother Rashid took the second place in Ski Junior GP3 3.3. Another siblings succeeded in the race was Ahmed & Omer Essa Al Hammadi who took the third place Ski Division GP2 and Ski Junior GP3- 3.2 consecutively while their third brother Zayed won the Ski Junior GP3 – 3.1.
Winners
Dubai Int’l Aquabike Race - first round of the 2022 UAE Championship which was organized by Dubai International Marine Club last Saturday with the participation of 16 emerging stars in the Ski Junior GP3 in all of its three level - 3.3, 3.2 & 3.1.
DIMC took the initiative to organize the first competition in this category way back in the previous season aiming to encourage the youth to join the sports and to discover future talents from all the members of the society.
In the recent race, the club provided opportunity for young people “the juniors” to interact with the professional and veterans in this sports that will increase their skills and also to serve as the family sports where they can enjoy all together.
Our UAE young champions emerged in the race against their top competitor from Russia, Kuwait and Qatar for the Ski Junior GP3 - 3.3 wherein Saoud Alawadhi won the first place against Rashed Salem Al Tayer , while Suhail Rashid Al Tayer took the fourth place and Hamid Issa Al Hammadi the fifth place.
Ali Essa Al Ali topped the Ski Junior GP3 – 3.2 category up against the Omar Essa Al Hammadi whose in the third place while Saif Rashid Al Shuwaihi on the fourth.
On Ski Junior GP3 – 3.1 Ahmed Salem Taher took the first place against Zayed Essa Al Hammadi, Abdullah Younis Alwadhi took the fourth place and Hamdan Salem Taher took the seventh place.
