Today marks the completion of the arrival of delegations participating in the Dubai Grand Prix, the fifth and final round of the 2024 UIM XCAT World Championship, organized by the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC). This prestigious international event returns to Dubai’s shores after a two-year hiatus, setting the stage for a highly anticipated battle for the 2024 World Championship title, now in its 12th edition.
Jumeirah Beach 3, located behind Sunset Mall, will host the event, featuring the Teams’ paddocks and race village, adorned with flags representing the participating countries. With 20 drivers competing aboard 10 boats, the championship includes contenders from the UAE, Kuwait, Great Britain, Australia, Italy, Belgium, and Sweden. Among them are four Emirati teams challenging their international rivals.
As part of today’s preparations, teams are conducting test sessions to ensure their boats are race-ready for the weekend. Tomorrow (Thursday), activities will include the completion of registration procedures, technical inspections, additional test sessions, and the drivers’ briefing.
Mohammed Abdullah Harib, Board Member and CEO of DIMC, has overseen all arrangements for this significant global event, which concludes the 2024 UIM Championships. Harib highlighted that DIMC also organised the Federation’s opening event last January, hosting the first round of the UAE International Aquabike Championship.
He extended an invitation to the public and marine sports enthusiasts to witness the thrilling atmosphere of this international event. The competitions begin on Friday and continue through Saturday and Sunday, featuring races such as the Pole Position, Race 1, Race 2, and the Dubai Speed CAT Run.

This highly anticipated championship brings together the world's elite powerboat champions aboard 10 boats, all competing for the prestigious Dubai Grand Prix. The event marks the season finale after a long and exciting journey that began in Fujairah, continued through Italy, and made its debut in Saudi Arabia before culminating at Jumeirah Beach this week.
The Dubai International Marine Club, the event's organizer, is actively preparing to ensure the championship's success at the event site on Jumeirah Beach 3, located behind Sunset Mall and near Kite and Nessnass Beaches. These popular locations, known for their warm sands and vibrant atmosphere, are expected to attract large crowds eager to enjoy the thrilling competition between the participating boats over three days, from Friday to Sunday.

The teams participating in the Dubai Grand Prix, the fifth and final round of the 2024 UIM XCAT World Championship organized by the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), are completing the registration procedure today ahead of the race, which will take place from tomorrow until Sunday at Jumeirah Beach 3.
DIMC has completed all technical preparations for organizing the race, as well as the closing ceremony of the 2024 World Championship season in the UIM calendar, in coordination with the club’s strategic partners, including government departments and national institutions supporting and sponsoring the event.

HPI Fujairah Racing Team 96, led by brothers Giuseppe and Rosario De Cola, won the first race of the Dubai Grand Prix, the fifth and final round of the 2024 UIM XCAT World Powerboat Championship. The event is organized by the Dubai International Marine Club on the picturesque beaches of Jumeirah and runs until tomorrow, Sunday.
HPI Fujairah Racing Team 96 extended its lead at the top of the overall World Championship standings against its closest competitor, Swecat 2, by adding 35 new points to its score. This brought their total to 250 points, securing their position at the top of the rankings.
